An International Symposium on the emergence of Globally Distributed Data in support of Global Collaborations is being held at the ForteVillage Resort in Sardinia, Italy, on June 20-24, 2005 under the auspices of the Mass Storage and Systems Technology Committee of the IEEE Computer Society. We invite you to participate and provide a short paper summarizing your major project area. We also seek your thoughts on ideas for facilitating cross-disciplinary sharing of ideas and technologies to promote interaction among communities that are managing globally distributed data.
